The Cherokee County School District invites businesses and organizations interested in partnering with the schools to “Partner Up With CCSD,” a free informational event in September.

The event is 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, in the auditorium of the Dr. Frank R. Petruzielo Educational Services Facility, 1205 Bluffs Parkway, Canton. Attendees can have coffee and conversation with school leaders, who will be seated at tables grouped by geographic area.

Potential partners will receive “wish lists” on supporting schools through donations of time, services and sponsorships, and information on how the schools promote and recognize their partners, officials said.

“Last year’s first-ever Partner Up event was a great success, with partners and principals developing new ways to collaborate in support of our students, staff and schools,” district Superintendent Brian V. Hightower said. “Our schools are better when we work together, and we hope even more partners will attend this year.”
