The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners has renewed its agreement with Jeff Dobson & Associates Inc. to manage the county’s annual auctions of surplus vehicles and equipment for the next three years.

The company “has managed the process for many years and provided excellent service,” staff said in a report to commissioners. “Jeff Dobson & Associates doesn’t charge the county a percentage for vehicle auctions and charges 10 percent for all other items. Other companies that provided bids charge between 18 and 35 percent.”

Dobson is located on 796 Canton Road, between Ball Ground and Tate. According to its website, it specializes in antiques, personal property, estates, farm equipment and commercial assets. Information: http://www.jeffdobson.com/
