Cherokee to pay $225K for new fire station site
Cherokee County will pay $225,000 for 10.88 acres at 1467 Reinhardt College Parkway, near Canton, for a new fire station. CHEROKEE COUNTY
Cherokee County is paying $225,000 to acquire 10.88 acres near Canton for a new fire station.
The county board of commissioners voted to approve the site acquisition, at 1467 Reinhardt College Parkway, contingent on a satisfactory completion of a title search and survey. An environmental assessment found no recognized environmental conditions with the land.
A sales contract signed April 9 identifies the seller as Huie L. Turner Jr., of Woodstock. The new fire house would replace Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services Station No. 9 at 1398 Reinhardt College Parkway.
