Trevor Williams has been hired away from Forsyth County as the new head football coach for the Grizzlies at Creekview High School in Canton, the Cherokee County School District announced.

A graduate of Sequoyah High School in Cherokee County, Williams most recently was defensive coordinator for the South Forsyth High School football team, officials said.

“Williams helped lead the 2018 football team to its third straight season of undefeated play at home and the fifth consecutive year of playoff eligibility,” according to a Cherokee schools announcement. He also was a special education specialist and credit recovery program co-director.

Williams has strength and conditioning certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and previously was Forsyth Central High School’s football offensive coordinator. He also has coached baseball, lacrosse, and track and field.

He has a bachelor’s in physical education and health from Kennesaw State University and a master’s in education from Georgia Southern University.

“Creekview is a special place,” Williams said. “I want to continue to build on the foundation that has been set for the program and provide leadership and stability now and in the future.”

Healthcare at College Park, a nursing home in Fulton County, GA, stands shuttered with its door chained on July 26, 2025, having closed in recent months. Researchers at Brown University developed a list of U.S. nursing homes they predicted were at risk of closing based on 2023 data, and would be at elevated risk of closing due to the One Big, Beautiful Bill Act's cuts to Medicaid. Healthcare at College Park was on their list. It survived past its last federal inspection in August of 2024 but has now closed down. The bill's biggest provisions will roll out over years starting Jan. 1. (Ariel Hart/AJC)
