The Cherokee County School District is expanding the menu of high school credit courses offered in its middle schools, allowing more rising eighth graders to get a jump on high-school graduation requirements.

Officials said that for 2015-16, German I will be introduced at ET Booth Middle School, and French I will be added at Teasley Middle School. The additions follow a major expansion of course offerings at various campuses for the current school year, which included orchestra, visual arts, business and technology and drafting and design. All middle schools will offer high-school algebra, geometry, physical science, Spanish, band and chorus classes for 2015-16. Other offerings will vary by school.

For more information contact the school directly.
