Cherokee County School District parents, take note: Elementary schools start at 7:35 a.m. this fall, five minutes earlier than last year; tougher penalties are in store for students caught on campus with vaping devices; and school walk-throughs and open houses begin Saturday, July 27.

With the 2019-20 school year set to begin Thursday, Aug. 1, the issue contains a timely web link to "First Day Facts," containing important back-to-school information and links.

Among the links: First-day registration forms available Wednesday, July 24, on the Back to School Gateway; the 2019-20 school calendar; bus stop pick-up and drop-off times; and school lunch account balances.
