Cherokee County Sheriff’s officials are seeking a woman suspect identified in a series of car break-ins there.

Lt. Jay Baker said five thefts have occurred sine March 9 at businesses along Ga. 92 in Woodstock and at Hobgood Park.

In most of the cases, vehicle windows were shattered and purses or bags containing checks, IDs and credit cards taken. In one case the perpetrator simply opened the door. Witnesses said a male driving a white SUV is committing the thefts while a woman is using the stolen checks at both local and out-of-town banks.

Baker said anybody with information is asked to call 770-928-0239.
