While Cherokee County School District buildings remain closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, registration has begun for students new to the district in the 2020-21 school year.

According to a district announcement, parents of incoming kindergartners or students in first through 12th grades attending the Cherokee County schools for the first time on Aug. 3 can begin the enrollment process using the Registration Gateway, https://registration.cherokeek12.net/

Parents can enter contact information and upload documents. An in-person meeting ordinarily follows, but because schools and offices are closed, video-conferences or phone calls will replace face-to-face meetings, the district said. Those having trouble uploading documents will receive assistance during the virtual meeting.

A skills assessment of kindergartners, also part of the in-person meeting, will be conducted at a date to be determined. Information: EnrollmentSupport@cherokeek12.net or https://bit.ly/3aA40zE
