Cherokee County School District will hold its annual parent meetings May 14 on the annual Comprehensive Improvement Plan Review, a requirement of school districts receiving federal funds under the Every Student Succeeds Act.

The meetings are scheduled for 10 to 11 a.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. in the auditorium of the Dr. Frank R. Petruzielo Educational Services Facility, 1205 Bluffs Parkway, Canton.

Every year, the district must complete a Comprehensive Needs Assessment, which looks at improving academic achievement and serving various student populations, including the economically disadvantaged, disabled, homeless and those with limited English proficiency.
