Cherokee County School District will hold its annual parent meetings May 14 on the annual Comprehensive Improvement Plan Review, a requirement of school districts receiving federal funds under the Every Student Succeeds Act.

The meetings are scheduled for 10 to 11 a.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. in the auditorium of the Dr. Frank R. Petruzielo Educational Services Facility, 1205 Bluffs Parkway, Canton.

Every year, the district must complete a Comprehensive Needs Assessment, which looks at improving academic achievement and serving various student populations, including the economically disadvantaged, disabled, homeless and those with limited English proficiency.

The parent review is part of a required review process that also involves teachers, administrators, students and other stakeholders. Information: http://bit.ly/CCSDclip18
