Cherokee County invites high school students to apply for six-week paid internships with some of the county’s top employers.

The Cherokee Summer Internship Program is a competitive program offered to all rising high school juniors and seniors, as well as graduating seniors. It offers real-world experience, networking and reference opportunities, early exposure to a variety of career pathways, and resume-building work experience, officials said.

The application process and internships for the summer 2019 session will be posted on the Cherokee Office of Economic Development (COED) website Monday, Feb. 25. Students accepted into the program must have reliable transportation and attend the Summer Internship Orientation at COED on June 7. Internships run from June 10 to July 19.
