Cherokee County cities curtail operations due to COVID-19

Holly Springs, Ball Ground and Waleska announced curtailed operations in response for the COVID-19 outbreak.

Holly Springs canceled its City Council and Parks and Recreation Authority meetings and its Downtown Development Authority and Urban Redevelopment Agency meeting. The Municipal Court session has been reset to April 28; for questions about court dates: 770-345-5538. Information: https://www.hollyspringsga.us/

Ball Ground canceled its Main Street and Downtown Development Authority meeting of Thursday. Municipal Court proceedings of Friday have been rescheduled for April 17. Information: 770-735-2123 or https://cityofballground.com/

Waleska said it has closed its lobby for two weeks but the office will be open.

"If you need to make a payment, we have provided envelopes at the drop box to put your payment in," the city said. "Your payment will be posted the same day. Also, don't forget you can pay online at our website." Information: https://bit.ly/3d0Sn7d
