Cherokee County activates additional ambulance

Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services officials have added a new ambulance to serve the southern portion of the county.

The ambulance is located at Station 8, which is off Hickory Road in Holly Springs.

EMS Chief Danny West said placement was made because of growth in the area and increased calls for service. He said the ambulance responded to nearly a dozen calls in its first four days of service.
