The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners will meet 6 p.m. Tuesday to discuss its policy on impact fees. In July 2009, commissioners voted to cut the fees -- which are are added as a way to offset the cost of building new roads, schools, sewers or other needs created by growth -- in hopes of jump-starting new development. The county is anticipating a $7 million shortfall in 2012. The meeting will be held at 1130 Bluffs Parkway in Canton.
