The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners has approved a $267,138 standard construction services agreement to have Turner Construction Co. build out new probation offices for the Cherokee Marshal’s building.

The board also approved paying $36,141 to Indoff, an office furnishings supplier, for six workstations, chairs and other furniture for the building, where “additional office space and conference rooms are needed to bring the county’s probation services in-house,” staff said in a report to commissioners.

The construction amount includes a 10 percent contingency to cover unforeseen issues. The work is to be completed by April 29, according to the construction agreement. Information: https://bit.ly/2J4rPah
