Regarding the Chattahoochee Riverlands Project, public forums are scheduled on June 22, 23 and 25.

Times and locations are:

  • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 22. Northwest Library at Scott's Crossing, 2489 Perry Blvd. NW, Atlanta.
  • 1-4 p.m. June 23. Chattahoochee River Environmental Education Center, 8615 Barnwell Road, Johns Creek.

This June 25 meeting will be hosted by the Mableton Improvement Coalition and will cover more than the Chattahoochee Riverlands Project.

On June 25, Eric Meyer of the Cobb Department of Transportation will discuss Cobb’s update to its Comprehensive Transportation Plan, the 2022 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST), upcoming transit improvements and the Chattahoochee Riverlands effort.

The Riverlands Project is a new plan for trails along the Chattahoochee River in Mableton that could have connectivity to other trail systems.

Input is welcome at the June 25 meeting on congestion bottlenecks, transit expansions and trail connections.
