A supplement agreement to a Georgia Department of Transportation capital assistance grant was approved recently by the Henry County Board of Commissioners for its transit department.

A previous vendor defaulted on a contract and when the state was forced to find another vendor the county’s share rose by $541.42 according to officials. Under the grant the county will get $157,561.34 in capital assistance for replacement of four existing buses that have met their useful life, while providing a $19,695.17 local match.
