The Georgia Court of Appeals, last week, unanimously ruled in favor of Chamblee in its annexation dispute with Brookhaven over Century Center commercial development properties.

Highwood Properties, which owns the Century Center, and wants to become part of Brookhaven, had appealed a 2013 ruling by DeKalb Superior Court that allowed Chamblee to move forward with annexation.

During the course of the dispute, Brookhaven sought to approve annexation of the property even though Gov. Nathan Deal had signed into law an act that called for a Chamblee referendum on the issue.
