The Gusto in Chamblee is temporarily closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

The Atlanta-based fast-casual chain opened the Chamblee location last fall featuring the company's first drive-thru option.

Gusto founder Nate Hybl said in a statement that the company “hired a professional cleaning team to disinfect the restaurant and are requiring all Chamblee team members to get tested before they can return.” He did not provide a date for the restaurant’s reopening.

The location had only been offering drive-thru and takeout service since the coronavirus pandemic began.

Hybl said employees will still be paid while the restaurant is closed.

Gusto is known for its customizable salad or rice bowls usually featuring a protein, flavorful sauce and other toppings. It is based in Atlanta and has five other locations in the metro area, including in Midtown and North Decatur.

The Chamblee eatery is located at 4945 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard near the Peachtree Station shopping center, which includes a Whole Foods, Chipotle, Starbucks, Zoës Kitchen and other shops and restaurants.
