Chamblee fires city manager

Chamblee City Council, which earlier this summer suspended Niles Ford with a vote of no confidence, recently fired its city manager.

Ford had been manager for the north DeKalb County since 2011. His background includes a stint as deputy fire chief in Fulton County.

Police Chief Marc Johnson will serve as acting manager as the city searches for a new leader.
