Karen Hallacy was named the 2012 East Cobb Citizen of the Year by the Cobb Chamber of Commerce. Hallacy has been a volunteer and resident in east Cobb for more than more than 10 years. She is known as an advocate for local students and public education, especially through the Parent Teacher Association. She’s a member of the East Cobb Civic Association, the National Charity League and a 2012 graduate of the chamber’s leadership program.
