The school day at Centennial High in Roswell ended without incident Thursday despite a threat scrawled on a restroom wall that said a shootout would occur.

Fulton County Schools officials said campus police and officers with the Roswell Police Department walked the grounds for a second day to make students feel safe.

A message found at Centennial on Tuesday warned of violence to come: ""R.I.P. CHS kids 2/16/12. There is going to be a shootout. This is for real."

The incident is still under investigation.

Samantha Evans, spokeswoman for Fulton County Schools, said attendance dipped slightly Thursday at Centennial, but she said it likely had nothing to do with the threat. Students have a long holiday weekend and do not report to school on Friday and Monday.
