Forsyth County parents are being asked by school officials that as a matter of safety, to plan their end-of-school celebrations and surprises away from bus stops on the last day of school, Friday, May 24.

“Distractions are dangerous to students, bus drivers and motorists,” the district says. It also advises parents not to involve the bus or bus driver, as he or she needs to stay focused on the job.

Parents should wait until all students are well away from the school bus, out of the bus crossing zone, and the driver has left the area, before starting the festivities.

"By following these steps, our students, drivers and others will be safe in and around the school bus and bus stop," the district said. Information: https://bit.ly/2VKOr5p
