Celebrate Easter with underwater egg hunts in Gwinnett parks

Is hunting eggs in the living room or backyard too amateur for you or your kids? Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation has a new challenge for you.

On April 20, the day before Easter, you can hunt for eggs underwater at two Gwinnett County pools. Eggs will be placed in pools at Bogan Park and Bethesda Park for guests of all ages to swim for.

At 9 a.m., the Underwater Egg Hunt and Bunny Bonanza begins at Bogan Park Aquatic Center and lasts until noon. The event costs $15 per person and includes snacks, crafts and photos with the Easter Bunny, as well as as many eggs as you can find.

The Underwater Egg Hunt and Bunny Breakfast starts at 11 a.m. at Bethesda Park Aquatic Center. It will feature many of the same attractions as the Bogan Park event, but with the addition of breakfast vendors.

Bethesda Park Aquatic Center is located at 225 Bethesda Church Rd. in Lawrenceville and Bogan Park Aquatic Center is located at 2723 N. Bogan Rd. NE in Buford. The Bethesda Park event costs $12 per person and the Bogan Park event costs $15 per person. Guests are encouraged to register for the Bethesda Park event online at GwinnettParks.com with the code BOP11100 or call 678-277-0850. Pre-registration for the Bogan Park event can be done at GwinnettParks.com with the code BEP11101 or by calling 678-277-0880.
