Clark Atlanta University's vice president for institutional advancement has accepted a new position at George Washington University.

Aristide J. Collins Jr. will serve as executive director of board relations and university secretary at George Washington, CAU President Carlton Brown  announced in a news release Thursday. Collins previously worked as director of development for university projects at George Washington.

Collins came to CAU in 2007. As part of his job he lead strategies for alumni relations, communications and development activities.

Brown said the university will conduct a national search for a replacement.
