Readers of Dunwoody's The Crier newspaper may be in for a shock tomorrow morning when they read the headline “Ross seeks cat park with cat-to-cat interface.”

The front page story reports Danny Ross, who served on Dunwoody's first city council, had an unfulfilled mission after his term expired in 2012: the creation of the city's first cat park.

“Why can’t cats have a gathering place of their own to enjoy?” Ross reportedly told The Crier, adding that amenities could include a scratching station.

Of course, none of it is true. The front page article is an April Fool’s spoof by The Crier staff. Other outrageous headlines will include “No cell phone zones coming to Dunwoody streets,” and “Lemonade Days festival to feature limes for 2015.”
