The Carter Center's peace and health programs recently received a major boost -- to the tune of $841,750.

That's how much was raised during the annual Winter Weekend auction in Port St. Lucie, Fla. Proceeds will benefit the Atlanta-based Carter Center. The highest-bid item was an original painting by former President Jimmy Carter, which went for $150,000. More than 150 items were offered for auction including a baseball signed by four presidents.
