Fire officials are investigating an early Monday morning fire at a DeKalb County auto salvage yard.

No one was injured when several cars caught fire at the salvage yard on Covington Highway at Redan Road, DeKalb fire Capt. Dion Bentley said.

The cause of the fire has not been determined. Fire investigators were called to rule out arson, Bentley said.

Covington Highway was closed while fire crews were on scene just before 5 a.m., Channel 2 reported. The road reopened about 5:45 a.m.
