The youngest survivor of an apparent carbon monoxide poisoning incident in Kennesaw has been released from the hospital, police said Saturday.

"The last I heard, the juvenile was released from the hospital and the woman was about to be released," said Officer Scott Luther of the Kennesaw Police Department.

The 10-year-old boy, whom police have not identified, was with relatives, he said.

Earlier this week, two men died from apparent carbon monoxide  poisoning caused by a generator that was placed too close to the home on Twelve Oaks Circle.

The older man had allowed his stepson, his daughter and her son to move into the home to help make ends meet, a neighbor said . The woman and her son were treated at local hospitals after the incident.
