Old and new faces are among the candidates qualifying for Fayette County’s 2018 primary and general elections. For the Board of Commissioners, newcomer Edward “Edge” Gibbons will be in the Republican primary with former Peachtree City mayor Don Haddix and former Peachtree City council member Eric Imker for the District 3 seat, which has no Democratic candidate.

Incumbent Charles Rousseau is running unopposed for the commission’s District 4 seat. The Republican primary will also determine whether Traci Fuller or Roy Rabold faces Democrat Sara Van Etten for the District 2 Board of Education post; Leonard Presberg will run opposed in District 4. Incumbent Jason Thompson was the only qualifier for State Court judge.
