Christmas season is here.
In fact, it's been here since October.
So it's time to get out your day planner and fill it up with all the Christmas events you can.
To get you started, eight of them in north Fulton:
The free event at the mixed-use Alpharetta development will go from 1 p.m. into the evening. It will feature many attractions, including performances by holiday stilt walkers, carolers and Santa lighting the 30-foot tree.
The event coincides with the annual opening of Avalon on Ice. That will begin with a figure-skating performance.

The lighting, which will take place from 6 to 7 p.m., will include musical performances by the Milton High School Choir, carols by candlelight, Milton’s mayor and city council counting down to the big moment, Santa and hot chocolate.
It will take place in front of the Deerfield Place shopping center at Webb Road and Ga. 9.
The mayor will throw the switch to light a giant dreidel and a 30-foot Christmas tree. Also featured: Santa accepting wishlists, hot chocolate, live music and songs from elementary school choruses.
At the event — held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. — new, unwrapped toys or games can be donated to the Toys for Tots annual drive. Guests can also sign giant holiday cards designed by Johns Creek fifth-graders for military personnel.
The free event will be in Newtown Park, located at 3150 Old Alabama Road, at the Park Place event lawn and clubhouse parking lot.
Guests will gather in historic downtown Crabapple for pictures with Santa photos, caroling, s'mores and hot cocoa.
The ninth annual event will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. at Broadwell Pavilion, located at 12615 Broadwell Road, Milton.
Dec. 3: Alpharetta Christmas Tree Lighting
Festivities in the Alpharetta Downtown Historic District will include the Alpharetta Christmas Farmers Market, performances from community choirs and dance troupes, marshmallow-roasting, crafts and face-painting and more.
Mayor David Belle Isle and his family will lead a read-along of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas." The program starts at 5 p.m. and the tree will be lit two hours later.
The event is located across from City Hall at 2 Park Plaza. Free parking is available at the Milton Center (86 School Drive) and the parking deck at City Hall.
Dec. 3: Holiday Celebration on the Roswell Square
The annual Roswell tree lighting event begins at 5 p.m. There will be carolers from local schools, a reading of "‘Twas the Night Before Christmas" by the mayor, and a visit from Santa.
The event is held at Roswell Historic Town Square at 610 Atlanta Street.
Dec. 4: Caroling on Roswell's Canton Street
From 5 to 7 p.m., guests can peruse the street known for its local merchants while listening to holiday tunes, drinking hot chocolate and warming up by a community bonfire.
Milton firemen will cook and serve pancakes, fire station tours will be given and Santa will be on hand. The event is free, but unwrapped toys for North Fulton Community Charities’ Santa Toy Drive will be accepted.
It will be held at Fire Station 43, located at 750 Hickory Flat Road from 8 to 10 a.m.
