A new gym will be built for Campbell High School in the Smyrna area for $10.14 million.

The Cobb County Board of Education voted 6-0 Wednesday to award the bid to Hogan Construction Group of Norcross. Board member David Morgan was absent.

Completion is expected by October 2017 in the front parking lot of the present gym. The older gym will be used as a weight room and classified for large group instruction. The cost is $3 million cheaper than budgeted in the 2013 SPLOST IV Notebook.
