The Georgia Department of Transportation has begun resurfacing SR 6/Camp Creek Parkway in Fulton County.

Georgia DOT awarded the resurfacing contract to E. R. Snell Contractor, Incorporated for $2.53 million. Contractors will resurface 2.9 miles of SR 6/Camp Creek Parkway between Butner Road and North Commerce Drive. General nighttime work hours and related lane closures will be 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. in a five to seven night workweek. All work is weather contingent.

Motorists traveling in the area are reminded to reduce their speeds while traveling through the work zone. As always, Georgia DOT encourages motorists to wear seatbelts, eliminate distractions behind the wheel, and plan their routes before getting on the road by calling 511 for real-time information on work status and traffic conditions.

The project is expected be complete in late June 2018.
