Building inspections are still being addressed in Henry County amid the recent moves to alter working conditions for county employees during the coronavirus situation.

County manager Cheri Hobson-Matthews informed the Board of Commissioners at its April 7 regular meeting that inspections are taking place two days a week. Inspectors with the county’s Building and Plan Review Department are not reporting to their regular offices, but are retrieving necessary information from a box placed outside the county administration building before going directly to the relevant building sites. This process allows them to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

All customers in need of inspection services are encouraged to have all required paperwork turned in by noon Friday of the previous week so inspections can be scheduled. The entire application process can be completed online.
