Giddy up, Gwinnett.

Lawrenceville is having its first-ever Christmas parade this year — and the Budweiser Clydesdales are coming along for the ride.

The iconic equines will cap off the festivities that begin at 7 p.m. on Dec. 2.

"Our events and programs support community engagement and further drive economic impact for our downtown business district," Lawrenceville city manager Chuck Warbington said in a news release announcing the parade (and the horses' participation).

"Being able to launch our Christmas parade program with a nationally recognized brand only serves to further those goals and bring heightened awareness and exposure of Lawrenceville to the metro Atlanta region."

The event will also include Santa Claus and community floats. Groups interested in participating in the parade can fill out an application here.

The Clydesdales and their accompanying carriage have been part of Budweiser's marketing since 1933. Their participation in Lawrenceville's parade is in partnership with Eagle Rock Distributing Company.
