Former Atlanta mayor and Buckhead Coalition president Sam Massell will deliver his annual “State of the Community” address 7:30 to 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28. The event will take place during the Buckhead Business Association’s weekly Business Empowerment Breakfast series, according to a press release.

Massell served as the city’s mayor from 1970 to 1974 and is the founding president of the Buckhead Coalition, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Mayor Massell will provide members and guests in attendance with an exciting and informative update on the Buckhead Community.

“It’s always a pleasure to welcome Mayor Massell at our meetings and events,” said Barry Hundley, Executive Director of the Buckhead Business Association. “He’s been a great partner, friend, and past president of BBA, and we’re honored to have him as our February 28 speaker. His ‘State of the Community’ address is one of the highlights of our year.”

Mayor Massell is one of several influential speakers to participate in BBA’s weekly breakfast meetings. Refreshed this year as Business Empowerment Breakfasts, these events feature some of country’s top thought leaders and influencers and provide vast networking opportunities for area businesses.

Business Empowerment Breakfasts are held every Thursday at Maggiano’s in Buckhead. Registration is $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
