Boil water advisory in effect for East Point, College Park

A water main break in the city of East Point is also affecting the water supply in College Park.

The city of East Point Public Works Department had a water main break in the 1900 block of Norman Berry Drive. Although the break has been repaired, there may still be an effect on water quality, officials noted. The boil water advisory is still in effect for East Point and College Park.

Water utility customers are urged to not drink or use water until further notice. Residents should continue to boil their water until they are notified by the Water Department that the water system has been restored to full operation, and that the microbiological quality of the water in the distribution system is safe for human consumption.
