The first Brookhaven 2017 Zoning Ordinance Rewrite public meeting will be held 6:30 p.m. June 22 at the Briarwood Recreation Center, 2235 Briarwood Way NE, in Brookhaven.

The Zoning Ordinance Rewrite addresses future zoning standards citywide, and is the next step in the process which began with the adoption of the Comprehensive Plan in 2014, and the Character Area Study, adopted in January 2017.

In a separate but related matter, a Peachtree Overlay Update public meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. June 29 at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 3110 Ashford Dunwoody Rd NE in Brookhaven. In contrast to the citywide Zoning Ordinance Rewrite meetings, the Peachtree Overlay Update meeting will focus primarily on Brookhaven’s commercial corridor in the center of Brookhaven, and within the boundaries of the existing overlay district.
