The city of Brookhaven announced a series of public meetings aimed to gather feedback about the Nancy Creek/Murphey Candler Lake watershed study.

Both meetings will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Feb. 3 at Marist School’s Ivy Street Center Lecture Hall, 3790 Ashford Dunwoody Road.

Each meeting will include a brief presentation of a draft list of recommended projects, followed by an opportunity for the public to share concerns or interests in the watershed. As part of the study, engineers with Sustainable Water Planning & Engineering have conducted stream and lake walks and have held previous public meetings to gather information.

The study will assist the city in securing grant funds for the projects, programs and policies that are identified in the plan to improve watershed health and minimize flooding.
