As part of Brookhaven’s Murphey Candler Lake watershed study, the office of Sustainable Water Planning & Engineering will host the first round of public meetings to collect concerns from the community for the Nancy Creek watershed and Murphey Candler Lake. Engineers have previously conducted stream and lake walks within the city and have held several meetings to gather information. Both meetings will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 2 and Sept. 9, at Lynwood Park Community Center, 3360 Osborne Road. There will be a brief presentation followed by an open house to answer questions. The public is encouraged to attend and participate.
