Brookhaven hires additional officers

Brookhaven, which launched its 54-member police department this summer, recently hired four additional officers.

In addition to the new officers, the city hired three technical assistants to handle computer work in the department. The funding for the positions comes from savings elsewhere in the city’s $15.8 million budget.
