The Brookhaven Downtown Development Authority voted to approve purchase of an office building during its special called meeting Wednesday. The vote included the authority to finance the purchase through revenue bonds. The building will be used by the Atlanta Hawks team and contain a player development and practice facility, medical office space and storage space for the professional team’s equipment.

Before convening an executive session to discuss the real estate related issue, the group also welcomed Sarah Kennedy as the newest member of the board.
