Brookhaven City Council voted to approve annexation petitions from Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Executive Park into City of Brookhaven city limits at a meeting Monday.

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, a Georgia nonprofit corporation, and Executive Park filed a petition to annex into the city in early October. This vote comes after public hearings and multiple conversations about which municipality will eventually lay claim to the area.

The two commercial properties total 160 acres on the east side of Interstate 85, fronted by North Druid Hills Road and stretching to Briarcliff Road.

Two other city groups have previously expressed interest.

Executive Park and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta are also part of a map put together by a Druid Hills group wanting into Atlanta, and are also part of the newly-coined LaVista Hills, which submitted its cityhood map last month.
