Another agenda item approved by the council was the intergovernmental agreement between the city and DeKalb County Board of Education for the sale of nearly 15 acres of land for $4,747,562.25.

The council also agreed to earmark $1,393,222 from HOST Reserves to fund projects for improvements to existing parks and additional green space. Any excess funds from the intergovernmental agreement with the DeKalb Board of Education will be placed in a segregated account within the city.
