The city of Brookhaven has begun sidewalk construction of Hermance Drive. The construction work started Friday on the east side of the street from Crosswycke Forest to Path Academy. The project should last two weeks, weather and utility re-locations permitting. To complete the work, periodic lane closures will be planned during off-peak traffic hours.

Over the next four weeks sidewalk construction will also begin on Ellijay Drive, from the addresses 2478 to 2472 on Ellijay Drive, Johnson Ferry Road near the city limits and East Roxboro Road from Goodwin to Roxboro Drive.
