During the Brookhaven City Council meeting Tuesday, the council voted to allow stop signs at the intersection of Cates Avenue and Francis Street, after discussing the issue and allowing public comments.

The council also voted to apply for and accept over $290,000 for the city’s application for the Georgia Department of Transportation’s local maintenance improvement grant. The council discussed the improvements intended for the funds, including repaving and installing sidewalks on Childers and Caldwell roads.
