A busy south DeKalb County roadway was partially blocked by a water main break during the early stages of Thursday’s morning commute.

The water main burst before 5 a.m. along Evans Mill Road, south of I-20 near Mall Boulevard.

DeKalb police were at times blocking all lanes of Evans Mill, but at 6:45, one lane was squeezing by the deep water that had ponded on the roadway.
