The Henry County Board of Commissioners approved at its Nov. 3 regular meeting a $184,900 bid for replacement of the Selfridge Road bridge over Little Cotton Indian Creek.
After some discussion between county officials it was determined that the project should be “fast-tracked” as there were some structural concerns in the wake of recent heavy rains.
Commissioner Blake Prince said he had received some comments in that regard, and county staff said that inspection of the bridge would take place as soon as possible since rain topped out over the bridge a day or so before the meeting.
