Police in Marietta are asking for the public's help in finding whoever threw a brick from an I-75 overpass, shattering the windshield of a car below.

The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at I-75 and South Marietta Parkway.

The brick was tossed over a fence designed to prevent objects from being thrown onto the interstate, police said, and struck a silver Volkswagen Jetta traveling southbound in the far left lane.

The two women in the car were not injured.

Police are asking that anyone with information about the incident call the Marietta Police Department at 770-794-5300 or the Marietta Police tip line at 770-794-6990.
