A businessman who admitted arranging a bribe for former Gwinnett County Commissioner Shirley Lasseter will report to a federal prison in South Carolina Jan. 7.
Carl “Skip” Cain pleaded guilty to bribery and drug charges in May and was later sentenced to 57 months in prison. He originally was scheduled to report to prison earlier this month, but asked a judge to postpone his reporting date, citing his wife’s health problems.
Lasseter, who admitted accepting a bribe in exchange for her vote on a real estate development, already has begun serving a 33-month sentence.
