Woman pulled from burning home, rushed to hospital in critical condition

A woman was pulled from a burning home and rushed to the hospital Friday afternoon in critical condition, Atlanta firefighters said.

Crews were called to a burning home on Hartford Avenue in southwest Atlanta about 4:30 p.m., Atlanta fire Sgt. Cortez Stafford told AJC.com.

“We went in and rescued her. She’s being transported to the hospital now,” he said, adding that the woman was the only person home at the time.
